We bake our Hot Cross buns from scratch in-house with real ingredients, no fillers using our traditional recipe. We take our delicious bun dough and add raisins, mixed fruit, and our special mix of spices to create one of White Rock’s favourite hot cross buns!
Hillcrest Bakery makes the best hot cross buns. It’s definitely the traditional recipe – the spices and bun texture is just right. Some bakeries used to sell similar buns year round. They called them “tea buns” – the only difference seemed to be no cross.
